I've seen many changes throughout the years in the shark fishing scene including the outrageous prizes increases of everything from reels ,rods ,swivels ,wire,line and hooks.Most of the guys in the shark club are old fashioned and prefer using standard J hooks for sharks.I remember buying a box of 10 Mustad 12/0 ring eye hooks in the 80's for $14 to $17 and now the same box cost double or more depending on where you buy your tackle.A while back when i was getting ready for our Panhandle trip i bought some big Mustad 16/0 hooks for our monster baits and i got shafted paying $4.79 per hook.Is that a crazy price or what?Incredible for a single hook.Tough economy for a shark hunter in 2009!!

Hey Will, check out ebay. I recently got a box of 100 eagle claw titan 11/0's for $45 shipped. Welded eye. Can't beat the price, especially for bridge fishing where you break a lot of your sharks off and don't get the hook back.
