Hey everybody just trying to see others inputs I'm bout to upgrade reels and was wondering if I should go with a 14/0 Senator or 9/0 everol opinions welcome

i dont know much about the everols but i can assure you getting a big senator in good condition can handle some big sharks. it wont get you all the monsters out there but what reel can.senators are durable and easy to maintain and sand doesnt ruin them.they are also relativly cheap

That's what I was thinking the one I'm looking at is being sold with a 1000 yards of braid 130lb for 250 and its in great shape so I was thinking that'd be perfect only need a top shot and ill be to go

yea id go with that and for 250 for such a large reel you cant really go wrong

ya i was thinking that too cuz the everol was priced at 325 with shipping and even tho i love everols and really want one if i can get a 14 0 with a 1000yds of pp already on it for 75 bucks less i think its definitely worth it and im gonna grab another davis rod 160# class so should have no problem
