Anyone know any ways to get some more drag on my black spool 14/0? Besides the ht100 drag washers is there anything else I can do to get some more drag? Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!
I think you may already have the HT 100's in there if it is the black spool. You can add one extra HT 100 and one extra Steel washer.
I have this set up on my 14/0 and it pulls 44 LBS of drag at the reel, smooth and consistent. The washers are also very lightly greased. Testing the drag off the rod tip would be more realistic and add a LB or few but I didnt have anyone to assist when I was testing LOL.
I have a 12/0 that I need to service. IT currently has dry HT 100's and it tests over 50LB's of drag. I need to see what it has for washers against the stock specs.
I added another washer to the stack and it increased it by far. Haven't scaled it out yet but it is considerably more
