Just talked with a Penn reel Tech , My question was simple , Why did Penn stop production of the 130lb class Senators ?Answer" I don't know , maybe sales just were not there" My reply , "What would it take or what is the possibility of Penn making another Production run of the 14/0 & 16/0" answer " I dont know but I'm sure ( Now pay attention please ) If enough anglers voiced out and e-mailed the company they just might !" He went on the tell me Penn almost reintroduced the 10/0 because almost enough voices were heard ! The Penn Baha Came back becuase people let the Penn Company hear thier voice ! so , Please E-mail , call , write in , what ever you can do , lets see if these Giants of not to long ago can come back ! It's worth a try !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dogfish tackle in seminole off park blvd has a 16/0... it was around 899.00 maybe a little or or less just glanced at their display case and could'nt help to see the 16/o there.
Monoxide , I agree ,I would love to have a new 16/0 or 14/0 ! Quite simple , The Senator line was produced to give the common man a chance to afford big game on a reel that could handle it & wouldn't break the bank account ! Just look at the world Records that these reels have racked up ! The Charter / Commercial Captains used these reels & they have stood the test of time ! Commercial Fisherman on the big islands still use these reels for Ahi & Big Blue Marlin , Up north you'll see some of the best breaking out the old school Senators for the Giant Bluefin tuna ! We all know what dominates the piers & beaches for Large Sharks as well ! Tell any one who enjoys fishin Big to tell Penn to please reconsider ! No reason we should go with out these reels from our past or present ! One last thought , nothin last forever & things will break , What happens when your 16/0 or 14/0 dumps for the last time ? then what will you use to handle the Giants that you may encounter from the Pier/ Beach ???? It's worth a shot !

If Penn is considering this then it only makes sense if we voice up our opinions it just might help them take a much more serious look at the possibility of making another run of the 130lb class Senators !

Thanks to monoxide(Shawn) for starting the petition i commend you for it.I am greatful for the push to get the Senators 14 and 16/0 back in production i would also like to see them make a limited production 18/0 and 20/0 but i know that's a long shot in this economy.Thanks knock down for your efforts and for getting the ball moving on this.

I signed the Petition as well ! It is to the point for me , if Penn is not willing to listen then I can no longer stand by them or thier Pruducts. Penn has a chance to LISTEN & make products that we use & have a need for ! When Otto (Owner of Penn )Passed away & his kids got a hold of the company it went down from there !Lets start off with the discontinuation of certain Senators , Internationals of today are okay , but they are not the LeverDrags of choice of alot of Charters/Tourney fisherman anymore ! Thier spinfishers are okay , good but not the best that they could be. I know things change , But sometimes Change is not good! If something works then don't fix it unless you plan to improve it !I will continue to put the word out to anyone who will listen ! I have already begun with other Fishing sites & fishing teams !Please anyone who reads this , if you have the time talk with your friends , call Penn , ask others on different sites thier opinion ! This Site to me is very special & I'm happy to be a prt of it ! But i am a very tiny part ! There have been several emails coming in about this but please look at our web site, we still make the Senators and the sizes you listed. Please post on the site and let everyone know we still make these reels. We never quite making them.

sites & there are others out there , My point is simple when you read the
reports , look at the photo's & read the want to buy or lookin for forums you
will see that these Giant Senators are loved & still wanted ! I know that as
