How should I spool my 12 for beach fishing like 300 yard drops
Also where can I get a reel brace for my 12/0

I fill my 12/0 up with straight 100lb mono.

600yrds 130lb hollowcore JB or Momoi Diamond ($110-$120). splice in 100lb mono (momoi, berkley big game, Basspro offshore angler tight lines, just nothing soft like suffix superior or berkley pro spec). you'll get another 700yards of line on there and when it gets all torn up you only have to replace 700yards not 1100+. you end up saving this way especially if you buy a 5lb spool. you could also get the 5lb spool of 125lb bullbuster and splice that in.
