The shark tagger program used to send all of the returns back in the mail with location recaught and who and when. Most of the returns i had before they quit the program came from the ucatan penisula and was usualy sandbars. I just do imagin the reason they quit doing that is everyone being outraged by the fact of the fish being harvested after being taged. Im shure all countries participate in all the research they can with all the ligitimate comercial fishermen they have. May be as time goes they will ban the sale of fins world wide. Shark fins sale for $78.00 per pound dried outside the US.

Here is another little tiger caught the 19th. We do not count sharks under 6' in our yearly total so this one dont count. All the sharks on this post have been taged and released.
