The past two days have been bad luck for me.
Went to the Inlet today talked my way around the beach workers
and started fishing.
They are pumping sand in up there and the
Inlet will be shut down for fishing and beach walkers for up to three weeks. 
I tried taking pictures of all the jacks,
you have to look hard to see them in the pictures.
I just bought a brand new X-Wrap...
So on my first cast off the end of the jetty, I hook up as soon as it hits the water.
It was a nice sized tarpon around 100lbs 5-6fter.
He jumped and I didn't bow 
And I paid big time for it guys!
The plug comes flying back up at me I duck but not far down enough!
And this was the ending of the fight.

So I climbed down off the rocks walk through the slime and feel where the hook was.
Yeah it was in deep and the barb was sunk down deep into my scalp.
So I did was any real man would do...
I push the hook hard into my head to get the barb to come out on the other side.
Now I have a VMC treble hook through my head...
So I get my pliers and grab the barb and try to flatten it out...
No luck...
So I get the bolt cutters out 
Clip the other two hooks off and then
cut the back side of the hook and pull it through...
I should have been a doctor 
This was after the operation!
So, I missed the best fishing time trying to unhook my head...
Well no I didn't.
Next cast while dripping blood.
Then the macks moved in thick.
So I put a mack out live after spotting some tippers.
JD HAMMER Those Mustad hooks can't hold my tippers up here...
Lost a nice 6ft BlackTip in the surf due to Mustad
So I put out another mack and loose nice 5ft spinner in the surf...
So I cut the jack in 3 pieces... I was kinda mad...
Toss the head in the water and about 15min later a King Kong shows up...
She was black with her dorsal showing coming right infront of a wave...
It was a big Tiger she grabs the head and started to swim off...
She was about 8ft long but really fat and all black...
I grabbed the mid section put on a 16 0 hook on and tossed it out
5 mins go by and she's back...
She grabs the mid section and starts taking off slow due south...
She starts picking up speed and I set hook...
1 hour into the fight the line goes slack...
I reel up the slack she was still on...
I get her in the rough surf and try to get pictures...
Then the hook pulls...
So I packed up and off I went...
This was a rough day for JimmyLevelWind...
Well sounds like they were there at least.
Treble hooks are nasty to remove. I had a bass hook me in the finger once, the hooks were baried so deep I couldn't pull them back through. My dad decided a hospital visit was best. $2,200 later, I treble hook removed, one shot of novican and one tetnis shot. Lucky our medical insurance call bullshit on it and got it down to $800. Still next time I am just going to do it my self.

I hereby award you with your jetty surgeon's license! I received my bridge surgeon's license many years ago when I had to remove a bucktail hook from Jerry's lower lip on the middle of the old Seven Mile bridge. Sorry you had such bad luck, Jimmy! 
That looks painful. I had a treble go in my thumb with a 3LB trout stuck on the other one. Look like a good day to be fishing though.

Same with me but it was a bass. I was so pissed I just put the fish on the groud ripped the hook out and left him. Fell a little bad about it now though.
DUDE!!!! I cant help it but I laughed and cringed at that. Crazy!!
That really shows you got the addiction BAD! any fisherman that cuts a big old treble hook out of his own head... then stays to fish more catching Jack, Smacks and a Tiger, thats a passionate fisherman. Good stuff bro!

It sucks because the tippers are in thick there...
But after they are done now more walking around the pipe.

JDHAMMER was the one to give me the hook... but I only lost a tipper...
The tiger came loose in the waves crashing and some slack getting into the line.
I was trying to snap a picture before I got it on the beach... big mistake...
JIMMY, TO BAD YOU HAD TO CUT THE HOOKS OFF THAT BRAND NEW X WRAP. AS FAR AS THE HOOKS GOSE. IF A SHARK BITES DOWN ON A HOOK JUST RIGHT IY WILL STRIGHTEN ANY HOOK OUT.
