White (Albino?) Black TIp Shark

I went out to Palm Beach last night with Jeff, Crystal, and Joey. We landed several tippers. The first tipper of the night (landed by Crystal) was a large, almost all white male shark. When bringing him in, I thought it was a young lemon shark at first. Once the shark was on the sand and in the light, we knew it was a tipper, but a strange one at that.

I guess it is not a true albino b/c he did not have red eyes, he had blue eyes.

Check out the pics, it is not the flash that makes the shark look so light in color, it is just the shark. I put up pics of the shark with pics of a normal blacktip. Same Camera, same settings.

I know of two other albino blacktips, one from Texas and another from Deerfield pier.

Definitely a rare catch though, congratulations.

Yes, it is a luecistic. It did not occur to me at the time. I am used to that term with reptiles but I was too stoked and didn't think of it.
