Let's see what you all think but the way things are going so far I'm thinking 14 ft 4 inch Hammer and a 13 ft 3 inch tiger that includes Australia and all the other top producers.

WHAT DO YOU THINK???

With the seal populations continuing to grow on the upper east coast.
My guess is somebody will drag a GW to the beach this year and no
matter what size it is it'll be the news getter. Also with the recent
ecological disaster in the gulf this will also effect the movement of fish
it's already starting here with odd catches inshore and the timing of migrations etc.....

Why does'nt Australia produce more? Maybe they just ant computer intrested. So many un touched beaches there. They put a stop to the long linning befor it got started there. Too far away from any where for the comercial fisherman and un fished by the locals. If there are any real Land Based shark fishermen there, they should show the biggest. In the southern bight the white sharks eat cattle wading in the surf. They have caught two diffrent tigers around 3500lbs. Australia is huge and full of natrual resources but the right man at the right place at the right time and it happens. The place may be florida because we have the best fishermen! Hey, we may have to go over there and do it for them

I email a gentleman from Australia occasionally who catches absolutely massive tigers, but seldom posts pictures of them on the internet. I believe his largest he said he caught was 12' something to the fork. That thing would just be a beast. I've seen some pics of a few of his tigers and hammers. One hammer in particular looks enormous. He fishes with the Harmons quite a bit. The reason he doesn't post up pics is because he doesn't want people to steal his spots, or more specifically one person to steal his spots. One of his pictures are actually on this site...I think you guys were discussing whether or not a fish he caught was a bull or a dusky.
