Me Meir, the wife and baby Brianna headed out to the west coast this past friday, in search of a monster!!!!!!
We arrived to the most beautiful white sand beach i have ever seen,and had our 6 rod lineup out by 6m. 3 huge cuda heads and 3 bonitos . By 8pm i get my first hit on my 12/0, a loud screaming black tip hush puppy, so i set up and start reeling Him in easily, when all of a sudden the black tip starts making my reel scream like a hammer is now on it, and the whole time i knew what had happened, so i scream A sharks got her, im on big time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
quickly the fight is over as the shark let go. I reel in the battered and bashed black tip , and it has gaping tiger teeth wholes and its tail missing. The predator in me gets my number 19 wire and three 14/0 hooks and quickly kayaks the already dead tip back out to let the beast tiger finish her meal, and within one hour the tipper gets picked up and swallowed, fast and steady like the beast i had come there for, and just my luck i hooked the tipper to lightly and she ripped my whole shark right off my hooks after running for like a minute!!!!DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was seconds from another classic battle!!!!!!!!!
Later that night meirs rod starts screaming and he lands a nice 7foot lemon!!!!
The next morning, meirs classic luck on my rods, he loses two sharks on my 14/0s right at the shore line while i was hiding brianna in the park from the beaming sun!!!!!! that night i hooked another fast hammer, that proved to me for the final time that i will never in my life let dacron or braid, come near any of my precious senators agan for the rest of life, my dacron bit in to my reel after getting taken down half a spool and pow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So in total, what a great,,fun,family trip that i will remember forever,we came seconds from a beast shark, and 1 normal mono reel away from a hammer, the funnest part was getting lost in florida gator in breed weirdo town were every person we saw was the scariest serial killer looking weirdo youve ever seen, we were surrounded by fog, old oak trees, and scary friday the 13th looking trailer park homes lol no lights or open stores for miles!!!!!!!!!!!! wow!!!!! that was spooky fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now i can honestly say i ;love miami lol i will take all the killings,drugs, and immigrants it comes with it!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad that Meir, your girls, and you had such a terrific time. Isn't it strange that when we get out of our comfort zone, that things seem intimidating? Please give my love to Briana & Sandra, Shannon! Can't wait to see your pictures. Love you, kiddo.

shannon, i had a great time with you and your family thamks for taking me seeing all this crazy stuff happen was amazing. but as scary and wierd as that place is there are big sharks there and worth the long trip

Nice Lemon guys. Looks like you guys had a great time. Too bad you lost the big one. There will be a next time. Oh and thanks for sharing your dacron issue, I was just debating last week about putting dacron on my 12/0, but I went with the mono again as I fear the Dacron will give way to structure ( power poles, reef, etc ) much easier. Nice Report.
great decision luis!!! dacron tangles,gets shredded like dental floss on rock or pilings, bites into your spool, forms knots out of no were, gets caught in heavy currents, and dosent stretch!!!! TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maddawg you are normal and so are rednecks, but the people we were around were something out of a scary movie, trust me!!!!!!!!! i doubt you ever been around such a weird place like we were lol!!!!
