Saturday night me n the old boy went out n search of black-tips. But this time of year u don't have 2 try very hard just watch the news or call cuben eddy anyway we headed north we had 4 baits n 4 rods.I took them out wit the quickness wasn't 5 mins after taking out the last bait n my dads on little one cut the rock n took half the bony.Then my rod gets hit i hook him at first no fight thinking its a nurse i wench-em n 2 the surf.Then he put up a fight i new it wasn't a nurse it was my first sand bar! 83inch n shortly after id say 10-15 mins my dad hooks up another sand bar 77inch.Took pics with a measuring tape to c how it would come out 4 next week i really think we need a bigger tape 2 c the measurements clearly but i'm fishing with will n i'm sure hes got the right gear 4 the BC. U know will he's always prepared.Pics on Monday when mark the shark gets back from the keys.Waiting 4 my brother 2 get home wit some fresh bonies n i'm gone fishing the bites on n its a full moon wish me luck.

Wow looks like the Sandbars are increasing in numbers on the East Coast again. I've heard that back in the 80's there was a good number of them here during the colder months.

Love the sandbars, I only get about a 1 month stetch up here in MD tp get them from the beach.
My dad JD HAMMER told me n 1983 on the south beach pier they cought 56 sandbars rene kept a log that said who cought what n how many they caught.
