Had some free time on my hands these last few weeks -- heard there have been cuda at our pier as well as mackeral -- also heard that there have been many bulls bein caught, so I gathered a crew and gave it a shot... visited the pier one day maxed out on macks really fast trollied a lady for bait and me and coty (manasota coty) hooked up
we also have been hookin up on some tarpon, and the snapper bite has been pretty good....
-- here is a bull James (sharkbait27) pulled in one night off the pier
So we got a good supply of bait and planned a weekend trip for the beach...
We got set up around 5:30 and put a couple baits out
-- within 15 minutes I was hooked up
this bull was roughly measured at 7ft 8in. nice stalky bull.. it had a box strap wrapped around its gills that we were able to cut off -- so i was happy to help the fish out.. swam away strong

Then that evening coty decided to yak out a 50 in cuda on his 14/0 then run down to the showers to rinse off for the night... sure enough im the only one left watchin the rods and the 14 takes off... needless to say he was upset.. -- but so was I once I saw how small the fish was for such a large bait...
We had a good time.. landing a few bulls and one pup not pictured... the bull bite has been pretty good here lately -- glad to finally get back out there and put some fish on the sand!
Nice Bulls
Way to go guys, i just got back from trying to get a bull off one of the local bridges and that didn't work out, fished first 2hrs of tide with nothing but dealing with a$$holes on the bridge but oh well. I guess there's always next time, plus once the mullet run comes then we'll see a lot more big bulls over on the east coast.

The biggest Hammer that I have seen caught off the pier is 11' and it was only around 400 lbs.
