So me, Joe, and my buddy go out to sharkys the other day to kingfish.. just like any other day... We get there and bonita start showing up, we help a tourist land one and he gladly gives it to us... so we swim it out... four hours later - a screaming reel - and a hook set... as Hammer and JD Fagan will tell you the crab pots are a pain in the a$$ out there right now.. ( they had visited out there a week ago - JD Fagan got a nice 6 footer bull).. so Joe fought the fish for an hour around this crab trap, eventually getting it to break away... given this was in the middle of the day we had a lot of boat traffic to worry about and a lot of tourists crowding the rails.. against all odds we still managed to land the fish...

Heres me and my buddy Ben walkin him back out

I left all my stuff out there to go grab lunch.. and returned around 330 to try to get a kingfish.. 10 minutes after getting a bait down i got this guy
(around 50 inch about 25-30 lbs estimated)

Great day on the pier!
