Me and some freinds went out on the boat a few months ago out of the keys. we started the day off by trying to catch some yellowtail snapper, not long after we got to the spot and started chumming we had schools of them behind the boat, my freind told me before we got thear that you have to horse them in hear beacause thears been alot of fish lost hear do to sharks lately. so we start the day off slammin the yellowtail it was great but i still had something else in mind, so we took the 50w and a small shimono conventional out rigged them with #9 wire and a small j hook. put down two live leagle sized yellow tail, about 15 min go buy and the 50w gets hit solid, my freind hooks up and the fight is on he fights it for a good while finnaly gets the bull boat side and the hook straightens out while trying to leader the shark it was a big bull. About 10 min go buy and now im hooked up i fight it for a good while and finnaly get the bull boat side take a pic or to then back he goes. round two we both rig up again, shark rig on the 50w and grouper rig on the shimono, i put down a blue runner on mine and my freind puts down another yellowtail. whithin another 30 min we have a double header, i ended up hooking somthing on the runner and as i just started bringing it up i feel a hard like thump then it starts taking line i finnaly get it boatside and its a nice bull that ate what ever i had hooked on the runner, i was using a mono leader and got lucky the hook was right in the corner of his jaw. my freind was still fighting his monster that he had been fighting for a while now and it finaly broke the rod, we never even got to see it.
