ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN AMAZING,,,,,,,,,,,,,that 13 ft two inch 1300 pound tiger w 56 pups is probably the second heaviest tiger caught from land(next to Walter Maxwell's 1780 lb world record from Cherry Grove pier in 1964).Keep em comin Steve. Thanks!!!

Hello Florida Sharkers:

I'd like to take a moment to thank Steve for letting me know about this site. I'd also like to thank him for posting a photo of me with my Tiger. I am one of the "old farts" from Texas. I've been retired for a few years now, and I am enjoying my golden years here in Cape Coral, Florida. I don't fish any longer, but I do read your posts and I am interested in activally partispating the forum.

Thanks guys and tight lines,

Norman Bateman

This comment is for Norman Bateman. You may feel that you are an old fart, but we at SFSC feel that you are one of the outstanding shark fishermen of all time. I am looking forward to your posts and hope that you will include interesting shark fishing tales and words of wisdom to further the exciting sport of shark fishing. ;)

Hey fishergirl:

I will post a few stories now and then, just for you! However, I am writing a book of my adventures, because I been asked to so many many times in the recent past. I never ever imagined that my shark fishing was anything, other than the ordnary. To me, we were just going out and having fun on weekends. I have been away and so completely isolated away from shark fishing now for some 30 years or so. I am humbled at the hunger surrounding my stories. Yes, I think humbled is the correct word for how I feel!

Thank you shark fishermen and fishergirl for your support.

Tight lines,

Norman Bateman
