TEAM OLDSKOOL REPORT....

we have a cold front that moved in this week and that WSW wind we been having made our water turn chocolate and pea green silt and very very cold to boot. today is the first day that we havent fished during the week and it looks like it will be the case for the next few days so i have time to throw up a pic and type a report....

yesterday we fished and caught 3 spinners in a few short hours and one other bite, we had to yak the baits out 500 yrds to get those bites into some cleaner water where they were jumping at times showing them selfs in what felt and seemed like a lifeless ocean dispite the west wind and calm conditions. the day before we caught 4 spinners but had clean water. last week we really loaded up on the bait and filled the freezer taking full advantage of it being there, it was hard to keep baits out due to the blues being like piranahs on our baits after dropping them past the bar, but we were gettin our daily average on the blacktips making it a full on bait up and yak it back out there sessions with many trips just to catch those fish but its part of the game.....

we did catch a nice bull about 250 last week in the blacktips and had one nice one take alotta line off the 9/0 in a trough bait then cut us off on the reef.....theres always one that will come crashing our blacktip party but it did make us start taking a 12/0 with us now....

as of yesterday were at 189 on the sharks since we started "hittin them hard" for the season and i just made up the #200 framed plaque for our next milestone pic so im 11 fish away!.....i did snap a pic of Jeffs bull he caught during one of our bait days.....we been fishing this spot for years now and each year we are starting to see these bulls get a little bigger each year.....pic below is one that is starting to grow outta what i call its "teen" years.....next year it will be a mature one....anyways sea-ya , mike

Thanks for that report Mike.Nice to see the bulls crashing the blacktip party allthough that bull looks like it needs to find the school of bluefish and stay with it to fatten up a bit.I'm thinking maybe it's a male , (i can't see claspers are in the wash),,,,they're typically leaner then the females.
