I was told this Tiger was 12 foot 5 inch when it was caught back in November but I found the post on the Emerald coast website and it says 14 foot but the shark does not look 14 foot,,,,,anyways enjoy the story.

14 foot my ass. One of my new team members was the one who supplied the bait and was there to see the fish hit the beach. the guys could not handle it so they swaped turns on the 10/0 full of braid. They measured it by laying down beside it, ha ha. John said the fish was 10.5 to 11'. The guys that caught it are the definition of lucky rookies. one of then told me that a mako was next on there list. I told him that he is gona have to fish more than 5 times a year to catch one of those

Its kind of difficult to tell the weight in the pictures that just show the head. Definitely a nice tiger.

Its a hell of a catch and I don't have any experience with fish in this class but wouldn't a healthy 14 footer be considerably more than 6-700 #s? 11 ft seems more believable.

Good fish hands down, but he's full of shit. Me and Earnie calld his bullshit a few days ago while telln his story. I think kingling knows the truth and just doesnt want to bluff him on the net. I'm not downing his fish or his "luckyness" by no means, but be proud of what ya cought and dont bullshit people who know especially when ya gotta see them almost every day.

Congrats on the catch of a life time. Sometimes I am a little harsh. I dont walk in there shoes so im not shure how much they fish. It just destroys ya credibility when ya call it 14'. Walter Maxwells fish was 1780lbs and was 13'8". A close measurement is needed so ya can name ya fish. A fish like that deserves a correct name not a guess. They also cut the fish up in the parking lot at the beach. A huge blood spot and a stinking mess was left. Everyone associates sharkin with my crew and fingers are pointed at us. I wonder if they were the ones that burried the 2 sharks with the fins cut, in my life long fishin hole? They caught a 7" tiger last november and cut it up in the same parking lot and made a mess for everyone to blame on me. If any of the fishermen who caught the fish read this, CLEAN UP YOUR MESS!

This is the kinda crap that's gonna put Navarre off limits to shark fishing
Sooner or later it'll hit the press and there goes a local ordinance in effect.
And we're not protected on these forums they posted pics and parts of
threads off this site on a divers site that portrays us as ruthless apex predator
killers with no common sense or concern for the species. This is no joke. These
novice guys need schoolin before it's to late. Everyone desevres a trophy but take it
off the beach and process the catch.

Great to see ya on here. I ran into the guys on the pier sunday and mentioned alot but nothing seemed to phase him. He is a good guy and said he couldnt get on the truck. I told him to get a trailer or something. We live and learn and I hope they have enough tiger jaws now. He still is sticking to the 14' BS though  .
