Super Moon Report -5 shark day
Here is the 1st shark landed, 7ft 8in lemon on that pumpkin flavored reel again.

Damn good pics for a metro pcs phone!
In the morning we got breakfast and headed further south to 7-mile bridge.

Yak and all
After setting 4 bloody baits on top I ran down to a spot for snappers and got stripped under the bridge by something nice. Then I see JD yelling, he’s got a fish on and told me to run 4 blocks to get the phone camera after he boosted me up saying it was a hammer, I get down and snap a pic of his very big tipper…

Bt #1

real hefty fish over 6ft
After gathering my snapper tackle from down the bridge, I see 2 or 3 sharks cruising on top, I cast a bait to it and he devours it: a blue runner on #7 wire and a 2/0 j hook
For a blacktip, it was whoopin me, turns out I hooked it in the tail… took 300-400 yards off with ease.

Steady strippin line on decent drag

That harnell has an insane bend

Feisty Foul-hooked Female Fish

About 5 and a half ft
Jd told me: lets test the bend on my new rod

So we tied a shark rigging on the 20lb test, the tide switches and I have an 8ft+ nurse under the bridge and around another piling, after stressing the limits of the 20lb test rubbing all over the bridge and the rod within snapping range, the nurse finally gives in and I brought up the 250-300lb fish on 20lb test jd told me it was penn line

Never again will I hook a nurse that big for fun…
We start packing up to leave, no the rods are in the water facing the new bridge and about 20 eagle rays gathered up and were schooling around our baits, soon enough we see a big blacktip with a bit off dorsal tip jd hooks it and it strips down the bridge with a raw surge of power, but jd knew that the fish couldn’t go around the bridge with the braid, so he hammered down the drag on the duel despite the fears of the 1/0 j hook straightening out on the #7 wire, the fish was subdued almost 7fter

Strippin down the bridge

Stopping that fish at the end of 7-mile

Up and down

Healthy florida keys blacktips!!!
Just an average fisherman.

Looks like the West Coast to me! Am I right? Nice job. I've been itching to get back out to the West Coast. Can't do it for a couple of weeks though. Looking forward to the pics.

Looks like a lot of action thats a pretty decent WEEK haha..it is fun hookin' sharks with a rippin' current running out away from you on the bridge..nice job with the big nurse shark on light tackle I know its pretty hard to move a big nurse shark on a small rod been there myself but off a bridge with that lil gear w/ 20# line must have been nerve racking ![]()
