Not much going on here, probably because of the hot summer months but does not mean the sharks are gone! Thought I'd post a report about catching BIG sharks on spinning gear. This Tiger was a true fight on a spinning rod. She came in super strong, doing whale jumps near shore. Hook came out quickly and off she went with a good kick of her tail. Talk about a rush! I cannot begin to explain the sheer power of this fish when the combat is just MAN AND FISH...no fancy harness, no fancy belt or all that jazz....just man and fish plus the sand beneath 
Took about 45 minutes and there was no sign of much fatigue when in the wash...she was determined to not get tail roped!
Sometimes I wonder just how big they will go or what the limit is on spinning gear. I refer to this type of fishing as "suicide fishing." LoL Because I know someday I will run into a true monster that will totally destroy me....but so far, so good.
