Solo Sharkin'

I hit the beach about 4pm and unloaded all of my crap, and started getting rods ready. The surf wasn't too bad, but was building so I wanted to get all of my baits out before dark. On my first drop with a big ol'Drum head I am digging in at the bar to make it over when my paddle snaps! I managed to make it to the middle of the first gut and dropped that big head. Now, I was just going to fish one rod since the shore break was so bad, but decided I had good baits so I go out with half a paddle. I dropped the next two rods in my Pomp hole about 50 yards from the beach, right between the beach and first bar. At about 7:30 I notice my light stick going crazy on one of my pomps, then I hear drag! I let it run for a while, and engage the reel and he dropped it. By the time I loosened the drag back up he took it, and I could see my light stick over the first bar, this time I got him! It was my only hit of the night, but that's OK because it had stripes! It wasn't big 5'9" and fat, but it was a Tiger dammit, and that's what I was out there for. I woke up to an awesome sunrise, and packed it in.
