Hit the skyway early just after work, right around sun up. Had a bucket full of shad, macks, and fresh mullet. Ran out there full bore, we were the first anchored up under the main span. Chum bag tied to stern cleat, cut and tossed a few shad for good measure. Slung one off port, another off starbord and one bouncing bottom straight down. I got one hit. One, a small soupfin. According to Jaybird, my bro, and Larry you cant miss on the skyway right now. I couldnt even get the tippers to bite me off a dozen times (80lb flouro) as usual! I envisioned being COVERED in tippers at least, didnt see a single Tarpon. Any clue what the heck happened? Was pretty rough and muddy but its the skyway, always muddy. Looking to row some out the beach tnight, maybe my luck will change.
