Short Shark Trip to Warm Up for Next Week

Had friday off this past week and I went up for orlando for the weekend but before doing that I had to get some sharkin outa my system. So thursday night we went for a short trip put out half a cuda we caught last weekend offshore on a float and waited around for somethin to hit. I put down a plug of a threadfin to sea if any of the big mangroves are around and bam i get a nice hit.. I think its one of the resident snook cuz its takin a little too much drag for a snapper and it turns out to be a nurse curse. Next we get a hit and miss on the float.. and then finally we get a nice hit and hook up. My friend eddie fights it and I tell him to get off the dock and onto the beach quick so we dont break off on pilings. Well the fish takes a run west pulling out some drag and sure enough we're in the predicament. I run jump off the dock and into the water which get in to about chest deep so eddie can hand me the rod.. he runs down to the beach as i wade in and then he finishes up his fight. Turns out to be just a little bull, but the fish definitley had some spunk in him.. two weeks ago we caught a lemon around 8 feet and idk if that thing was sick, but this little bull definitley put up a better fight. I lookin forward to gettin some biggens next weekend.

... gotta get my camera fixed.. its a shame cuz we've missed gettin some pictures of real nice fish in the past couple weeks
