Seven Mile 10.13 - 10.14

so its been a couple of months since i fished the keys bridge and was looking like it wasnt gonna be till next yr march and april till i see them again ... reading about everyone catching fishing from the birdges and being unable to go to the next meeting next week i was determind to go down ... tuseday rt after work i packed the truck went to my cuzins house nd piked my rods up nd a cuda he caught that day, got my buddy and headed to seven mile .... got there around 7 and it was the middle of slack tide .. so i just set up and let the tide finsihed changing .... around 9 i setup my 14/0 nd put the head out of the cuda ... waiting for a hit i started to snapper fish, we ended up with about 8 magroves all ranging from 12 - 22 " on chunks of mullet and live pinfish ... around 2:30 my 14/0 got a hit but i got wrapped on the bridge and poped off ... we started messing around with the tarpon, caught three of them on live pinfish .. around 3:30 am the tide had changed back so i floated out the remainding cuda on my 14/0 nd told my buddy i am gonna get some rest .. so i lay in my sleeping bag rt under my 14/0 ... about an hour later i was awaken by my 14/0 screeeming .. i hope outta the sleeping bag set up ... i soon as i lock the 14/0 and set the hooks .. my 14/0 is pinned on the brdge nd i lose about 1/4 of my spool going sright out ...i slowly start to pump it in to lose most of the but this time the shark starts going left on me .. after about 30 mins of running left nd right i finally get her next to the birdge its a 8 foot 4 inch bull with a grith of 55" i used the formula and she estimated to be 378 .. it was two of us, nd all i had was my phone so i didnt get much pictures ... fishing was hot, i gotta feeling someone is gonna get something big this weekend
