i never really know for sure if i can go or not it depends on work but i do my best to get there every weekend so let me know sometime next week if your def gonna go and ill try my best to get up there.... id really like to to sharkin with you guys and get some more experience and technique
I have fished this pier alot at night and there is noone working the baithouse at night. Its free to fish as well. You do pay for metered parking but its not bad at all. I shark fished more than 10 times there and was never messed with. Most of the time i found other sharkers. never had any luck there for sharks but all the times i fished i was using crappy frozen mullet. I think since it was taken over by the city it has been that way. I have never been bothered there. Just remember if you fish the north side, its full of rock. best bet is catch a wind from the north or west or northwest and baloon your bait out. Ive spotted some decent size sharks here and I live a 1/4 mile from the pier so hit me up. It beats lugging kayaks and etc.. down to the beach. Nick 954-802-1969.
I have shark fished a couple times on Pompano pier with no problem at all, usually some lady is at the bait shack at the entrance selling hot dogs and drinks till around 7 pm when the shack closes. I have yet to land a shark from there, I float out a live 2 foot ladyfish under a balloon my last time there with no takers, will try again soon.
