Well it has only been 12 days since I caught my first good shark in Mexico beach and I can't wait any longer to fish so I am heading down to Pensacola to fish and will be camping out at the state park at Ft Pickens and will fish in that area. I will post a report once I return.....................good luck to anyone headed out this weekend 
Well.................can you say skunked 
I had bait out on 3 rods from 11pm Friday night through 2pm Saturday in the bay and Saturday night @ 8pm through 10am Sunday on the ocean side and only had 1 run on one of my 6/0's with bonita on it....something hit it about 30 min after running the bait out Saturday night and it was screaming for 5-7 seconds. I was on the phone with the wife and by the time I got to the reel and was tightening the drag it stopped. That was it for the whole trip except for catching bait which I was only able to catch hardheads & some other fish that was similar to a pin fish. I had brought a little bait I had in my freezer (bonita) & used it up quick and then used hardheads and the before mentioned fish I could not identify for bait but niether one of those did anything at all. I have got to work on getting some good fresh bait when I am on my next trip because it seems to be the ticket for everyone else.
Anyone that has some suggestions for catching some good baits please chime in.......it would be appreciated 
All in all I enjoyed being out on the beach but I am frustrated with the lack of results so far ................its getting personal now between me and the sharks
Oh well I am planning on going again August 1st weekend and hopefully will have something better to report........like pic's of toothies
