Palm Beach Inlet report with pics and video

good luck

Got all my gear down, now it's time to get bait.

Walked back to sore with the cast net.

Got some Pilchards and Sardines.

Went to get water in the bucket and look at all the bait.
there was snapper under them eating away all 8-12 inches.


Ok now I'm ready.

Got a 20 inch Jack

Got the 9/0

And out he went with baloon escort.

He sat out for and hour & a half and nothing touched him.
So I cut his tail of and put him back out... Nothing...
even caught his twin brother and sent him out...

again nothing touched him...
So I net some finger mullet and put them out on the 4/0's & 309 Levelwind.

Looks like a little blacktip to me but I could be wrong.


I just put him back in after I got the hook out, he swam off fine...
Had a little ramora I'm guessing on him not sure of the name of these...

Got alot of these Ribbon fish today...

Oh, I got another oner of these guys I think Mark said it was a
Atlantic Sharpnose???


Nothing big today I'll try again soon.
There was a ton of bait today, alot of jack,macks,bluefish & ladyfish striking on the top.
saw alot of small spinners jumping.

Nice report. I never knew that you can actually fish there. How is the neighborhood there? Looking on google maps, looks impossible to park the car anywhere near to that location. How did you manage to park your car?

Def a bt it has black tips plus white anal fin and that looks like a sharpnose although they normally have whit spots those ribbons are killer king and cuda bait so shiny they can't pass up good report!!!

I have a family friend that lets me park up there.
It's still about a 15min walk from his house.

Very detailed report, now that I see some better pictures, that is not an Atlantic sharpnose, nor duskey, nor bull, I would guess blacknose shark but may be wrong... those little things on the sharks are remoras, ive even seen them latch on to mullet and needlefish.

Next big bait you get to balloon on your 9/0, leave it out the entire time, sometimes the sharks are skeptic about the bait or rigging or something, so try baits on top, bottom, dead, live etc.

Also just because they are jumping and spinning doesn't mean its a spinner black tips lso do the same technique goin thru a bait pod spinning with their mouths open hoping to injure bait in the process can only tell apart if up close seeing as only difference really besides size is spinners have a black anal fin as well

I always see Big Bulls and Hammer Heads but the biggest reel
I own is only a penn 9/0 and I always pull my bait away from them because
I don't want to get dumped.

Ya I agree with ya as I have a Harnel rod with 80 Lb Bullbuster line! I would ♥ to catch myself a Bull,Tiger, & a Hammer for the very first time even if I can just have a feel of one fighting!
