Met up with slasherx4 aka "Mark".
Met up with blacktip aka "Dan"
We started at the Lake Worth Pier, Trying to get some bait for the inlet.
jonathanbryan aka Jonathan  sorry for all the aka's  Gave us 2 remains of Jacks for
our trip up to the inlet have to thank him for that. We didn't catch anything off the pier.
But someone had a Boney on and Brooks friend got a nice 14-16inch Snapper on a shrimp.

When we got up there the end of the rainbow was almost at the end of the jetty.
When we looked on the south "ocean side" we spotted a good 75+ Jacks swimming in the waves.
Then we saw Blacktips ridding in the waves with them, the tippers were around 5-6 ft.
Mark and Dan quickly put all the gear down and grabbed their casting rods and casted at the jacks.
Dan quickly hooks up on this nice one.

Mark put the jack out and Dan and I walked away from Mark and headed out to the end
of the jetty where the jacks had moved to. Then Mark hooks up on a shark "he says" :o
while we were out there
Dan instantly hooks up on another Jack.

The jack wasn't alive after I walked it back to Mark, but he put it out anyway.
Dan was still at the end and hooks up on another two jacks but looses while trying to bring them up the side of
the jetty.
So Mark walked out to the end and starts fishing with Dan.
Dan gets in this nice cuda.

So we put out all of the shark rods with cut baits.

I miss the hook set on a nice hit.
Mark and Dan do the same.
We changed baits out and Dan get a hit and sets the hook on his penn 70w.
Here is a short video clip of the action
http://s972.photobucket.com/albums/ae207/drjimb0311/?action=view&current=123inlet.mp4
around 15-20 mins later Dan lands this nice 6ft tipper.

Dan has alot better pics I'm sure he will post them on here later.

I'm sure there is alot i'm forgetting but I think Mark rigged up a cuda tail for me with a granite rock for a weight.
And my 9/0 starts going off and Mark sets the hook "running man style/pumping the sh*t out of it set up." into a decent sized shark. Walked to the beach and the Shark was running non stop for a good 20 min then the line goes slack.
I'm only using 50lb mono and Mark was thinking it was a niced sized shark and 50lb was way to lite for it.
Time for me to use some 80 lb mono. Dan then hooks up on a niced sized shark shortly after, but the line got stuck in the rocks and was scraping and the shark was still on. Mark and I navigated over the slippery rocks trying to get the line free.
Mark grabs his casting rod trying to get the line on the other side of the rock it was stuck on, but Mark's
braided line birdnested and we had no success. Dan got another three hits right before this happened but for some reason
they dropped the hook.
We had around 8-10 hits between all of us that night.
And I think I'm going again today, that way Dan can't catch all my fish.
Mark's Idea of using the sand pumping system as a leverage point this worked great for me.

It was good fishing with you Jimmy, you got a nice spot there, Dan caught all the fish  . It was a really fast paced fishing spot and you knew all the tricks, we'll do it again sometime.

Just an average fisherman.

Jimmy, big thanks to you for inviting us to fish with you, all in all a great day. Those cuda chunks were being hit every 20 minutes shortly after dark, just a shame we didn't get a few more hook-ups. You also didn't mention the 2 sharks and big ray we lost through 'tackle malfunctions'  It seemed like every time my wife called my reel would start screaming! I'm going to have her call me more often when I'm fishing from now on, seems to get me strikes. :D

Let's do it again soon!

By the way I emailed you all the pics I have, can't seem to post them - files are too big.

You can't upload them directly here, everyone use an photobucket.com account. Its free, then use the [ img ][ /img ] to link them here. Its easy and self-explanatory once you'll have an account there.

Looking at the tides, i would believe that they use the outgoing tide, with a balloon or something that floats???

"Yo jimmy how did you guys put the bait out???????"

We tied some of the granite rock chunks on 2 ft 40lb mono and tied that to the hook.
I'm using a 9 1/2 ft rod so I just would swing cast it out there about 20 yards.
Mark had a different method, he had me pull around 30 yards of line into my hand
like a cast net rope then he was throwing his baits out and I would let go of the line when it got tight.
Dan was using sinkers and just casting out smaller sized cuda and jack chunks.

Thanks for those 2 jack remains Jonathan 8-)

I got the hook out of that shark quick, and Mark dragged him back into the sea.
And Dan held the light as we watched him swim off.
Great catch Dan, way to break in the new Rod & Reel. :)

If anyone wants to check out the spot send me a message.
I'm going again on 12/6/11 and the weekend 12/10 & 12/11.

They were fishing against 30 mile per hour wind so there is no way

Yes, the wind and rough seas were a challenge. later in the night the waves were getting up around 5-6 feet. We got a couple of good soakings!
