so today i went out to get some bait for this weekend when i got to the beach after the storms past i caught a few shiners but was having no luck with them. so i went back to the bait bucket and grabbed a few mutton minnows at least thats what we call them they look kinda like pinfish without the stripes and colors. so i cast one out on my light spinning tackle with 12lb test with a 6" piece of lb for leader seconds later im fighting a fish and have bout 3/4 of my line gone and still tearing line off. funny thing is the bait was only about as big as my thumb if that. so bout 30 min later and half mile down the beach i start getting it closer and to my shock it was a blacktip shark bout 4 and 1/2 ft long lol i cant believe it on my my small reel with 12lb test with small mono bite leader. i got it to the beach and grabbed the tail in waste deep water the line broke and he swam off lol ended up with 9 really mackeral before end of the day sure was fun!!!
