JD Hammer took a look at the weather and decided that he couldn't wait any longer, it was now or never, he left on Thursday to the keys. Solo fishing!

Mind set for seven mile, guess he had a feeling, lures and jigs out, he was wheelin' and dealin'. Caught a mack, they were on the attack, caught a jack, he didn't look back. Got the 12/0 out, he had no doubt. Fishin' in the flats, so there his bait sat.

On the surface was his bait, in his hand was his cam. JD watched, as the 12ft hammer swam. It took a ram, hammer in the way, the shark was still hungry and at bay. He dropped his bait to the bottom, the 9ft bull taught him. Picked it up once, picked it up twice, spit out the mack didn't think it was nice. The hammer was back, on the attack, grabbed the mack, spool was fully packed. Set hook, shark started to book, JD took a look, 12/0 spool half gone. Something went wrong, the line was slack, spit hooks as a matter of a fact.

The tides turned, JD went to count some sheep, what a good sleep. Woke up at the next tide, incoming again, the old friend. Now with a jack, the time for sharks was back. No hammer to be found, the splash of a shark made a sound. Followed by a clicker, this shark took off quicker. The fight was on, pulling like a mule, it must have been a bull. Sure enough, straight up and down, a bull shark was found.

8 footer

self-shot

The work it takes to do all of this solo.

JD wasn't through, the front had struck, but he still had a mean streak of luck. Old wooden, sometimes holds a good one.

101 uses of a 5 gallon bucket

The reels got it more made than the fishermen

I got a little carried away...
