My past few trips

I havent posted anything in a while because i havent been catching anything great but here are some catches from my past few trips. Recently i have had more bait then i have ever had, my freezer is packed full! I met some new friends that mate on fishing boats and keep hooking me up with bonito, cuda, kings, aj's all of that good stuff! Its great! So with all of this bait i have been making quite a few trips, trying some new spots, and traveling pretty far in hopes of a monster. Big aj head that didnt get hit. My buddy got a big nurse on his little rod with 35lb test one night and that was it. A crowd of people on vacation gathered and were pretty excited to see a shark in person. A few nights later we went back and i got a nurse about the same size. time to change spots. So the next trip we tried a new spot. My buddy was getting hits all night but he kept getting cut off. then he finally landed a nice blacktip that had bitemarks on his side. After that he got a nice jack that we immediately cut in half and sent back out for bait! I got a hit on my half but the shark dropped the bait. My buddy got a hit of his half and almost got spooled on the 6/0. The drag was locked down and we could see the black spool through the line when he stopped the fish. He started gaining line little by little and then all of the sudden the hook popped out. Nothing failed, the hook just came out. Weird. The trip after that we didnt get one bite, which sucked but thats fishing. We went out to the same spot again a few nights later and i ended up getting a nice run on my 14/0. I set up and started fighting the fish. He felt decent but wasnt pulling any drag on the senator so i knew it wasnt anything huge. It ended up being a 7' bull! i was happy with that. He gave me a decent fight and made the trip worth it! I still have a ton of bait so hopefully ill have more to report soon!
