Monster Jack and Tippers

We have been tearing up the blacktips over the past two weeks. I'll be honest, I'm ready for April or May to be here so we can drop some big baits without them getting destroyed by tippers. Anyway, it has been a blast landing them on spinning gear and taking friends out to the beach and getting them on their first sharks.

I caught my personal best / biggest fish today -- a 35 lb. jack. He inhaled a ghost x-rap and almost broke me off several times. He barely fit in the bait freezer even with the tail cut off. I'll probably wait to use him in hopes of catching a 9 foot+ tiger this Spring, which is my ultimate goal. Enjoy the pictures! -Phil
