Lots of action on South Beach fellas(free lining lady fish)

took the wifey and baby down to south beach this afternoon to check the jettis for snook, and before i could make it down to the rocks by the pier, i spot a huge ball of finger mullets and something was bashing them, so i grab the net run in to the water waste deep and cast right on top of them. put them in the bucket and got to fishing with the wife. no snooks, but non stop action with lady fish , jack cravelles, and big 4lb blue fish, perfect for the wife!!!!!!! lol!! after i scatterd the beach with a mixed bag of fish and i finally accepted that there were no snook around, i decided to spice it up and create an old south beach shore fishing buzz for all the locals and tourist who had already swarmed to all the action we stirred up down by the sand.

I knew i was powerless with my small tld and 40 lb test but hey ive seen hammer,rene,will, and tar baby do crazier things. so i made a 3ft wire riggin(like hammer calls it)and tossed out a big 4lb lady fish hooked in the tail, already cocky and stirring up the crowd since i knew for sure every fish and shark in the area are right behind the mullet and lady fish bashing, and sure enough i hook up on a big spinner shark 50 yards from shore with people still in the water lol and it was on. after like 4 big airborne jumps to get the whole crowd on the beach hyped up i had to pop him off right before i got stripped with my powerless little tld. i had about 8 hook ups in total and they were all sharks accept for 1 being a huge 150 + lb tarpon. big fun but none of them were landed do to not having the right equipment at the time. tomorow i will bring the big guns.
