Just got back from Long Key Bridge. The Hammers were everywhere. I had four hammers on in two days. One black tip was eaten off my 14/0 .One tarpon was eaten off my gold duel,and a half of cuda was smoked by a Hammer. On my duel I hooked a tarpon and a hammer over twelve foot nailed it. He ate the tail and came back for the head. I PULL OUT MY CAMERA WHILE HOLD MY ROD AND SNAAPPED OFF PICS. When he came for the head I set hook and made him a new one. When he got through with me,he made me a new one. 
I cast netted all the live mullet I could use. Never put a live finger mullet on a brand new xwrap to keep the mullet alive,,Big mistake!! Left it hangin and went to catch cudas with my duel. Came back and my spinner was stripped to knot. As I got to the rod and pumped him in, it was a black tip.The big Hammer ate it. I lost my fourteen dollar plug.

This is awesome..you didn't even write much but I can envision it all in my head. What a hell of a story, that is hardcore..sounds like you were out there alone too
