long key blacktip

well..... since everyones putting up their keys reports ill show you guys our keys adventure. Not very sharky but we had a great time.
got into some jacks at 7 mile in the early morning, spotted a big lemon shark cruising the flats, witnessed a few eagle rays doing whatever they like to do, and saw a few cuda and tarpon but it wasnt poppin like we wanted and we werent doing so good on bait, and if we didnt leave in time we would miss the charter boats so we headed over that way.

we made it to the charter boats, but they had filleted and released all of their catches. but i wasnt about to put our keys trip in jeoprady, so i went swimming. hopped in the water at bud n mary's and it was a lot colder than i thought i felt like i was grocery shopping for carcusses, id pick up a cuda carcuss here and a tuna there, and eventually i ran into the last blackfin carcuss that was already taken by someone . just like if u were thanksgiving shopping and the fat lady with the giant shopping cart full of food is stalking the VERY last turkey that you had your eye on. well in this case the fat lady is a nurse shark gnawing on MY blackfin tuna. so we tussle but eventually i prevail and pull the tuna free of the grasp of the fat nurse shark. i wade in chest deep freeezing water and hand off the carcusses to my buddies.
with bait in check we head over to long key. a few of the charter captains found my performance intriguing so they gave us some big macks and bluefish to use.
we made it to long key and we got an amazing sunset to watch.

we put some baits on the surface inbetween the bridges, and we were greeted with a feisty blacktip.

after the fight with the blacktip we dropped more baits and messed around with rileys gopro

the tide switches and i drop the big cuda but no takers
