Kitefishing for Sharks- Huge Hammer (11-12ft)

I went out on a friends of mines flatsboat for sharks last week. We were supposed to meet up at 630am but he called me to tell me he was running late. While sitting at the dock waiting and reminiscing on old fishing trips, I remembered how we used to shark fish between the finger channels with kites. I called him back and told him to grab the kite and a kite rod.

He arrived with another friend and we set off south through the bay. Setting up next to a point where the current was strong we set out the kite. I tightened the clips tighter then I think they ever had been set before and set out an aj on the long clip and a cuda on the two short clips. The baits sat right on the surface draining there scent out into the ripping current and I knew something was going to come up.

All of a sudden my friend Ghilan yells look at that fin! 20 yards behind the aj a huge hammerhead is pushing water out of his was like a submarine. He comes charging the aj really aggressively but then right as he gets to it submerges. DAM*&( we all scream as we thought that he had to have grabbed it. Then his fin comes up behind the boat in the chum slick of the jack we have hanging on a rope. He comes charging the boat all 11-12 feet of him. I pop one of the baits out of the clip and reel frantically to pitch it in front of him. When I do he comes up on and and last second turns to the right and disapears under the water. He stays by the boat charging baits and then turning last second for about 45 minutes and then he's gone. Lets just say I got blue balls .

Heres the only picture we got... I lost my camera during the bhc so my friend took this picture... sorta disapointed he didnt get a better one since the fish was 5ft from the boat!
