well me and a buddy went out last night and put two baits, i put a kingfish on my 6/0 wide and a muttin snapper on my 14/0, after about an hour of being thear i hooked up on my 6/0, and started to feel the power of this shark. i had my drag locked down and he was still going. i finnaly see the shark and i couldent believe it, back out she goes, and i try holding the spool to stop her, but at the same time telling my self to be carfull to not pop her off. finaly shes close and i get a tail rope on her. and a big thanks to my buddy gunnar that came with and took great pics and made landing that shark possible.
In the lead for biggest bull and 2nd biggest shark of the year, makin it out big in the keys, JD Fagan.

Nice BULL!... I think those are from RJ Dunlap or The SFSP (south florida student shark program). I'm not 100% sure though.. didnt have any written stuff where to return it to?

I did a little research and i came up on this website with very similar tags http://www.thewatermansjournal.com/blog ... ging-study
also, from where the tag is on the shark, i believe shows its growth from the last time the tag was placed on it, because during tagging those type of tags are barely inserted on the dorsal, this tag looks like its about to pop off from the dorsal that has grown over it.
Just an average fisherman.

Damn Jd you're the top dawg right now wit a handbook texas style 900 lb cable leader,zip tied kingfish,orange weedeater line bull shark or was it the simplified sfsc way??In either case that's one hell of a shark on a wide 6 .Folks Jd Fagan deserves that and more ;he works very hard to find the new spots that are fishable and productive,puts in his time--often times he fishes by himself when no one is available and that my friiends is called "True Grit" .
