Got to the beach with Tex around 1800 and had baits out within mins. 14/0 with a cownose and a 6/0 with a hug spanish head. not more then 5 mins pass the the 14/0 gets a silight bow and line starts peeling off I start the count down for a hook set slowly tightin drag and he droped it. I set it back in the rod holder. 2 mins agian and that continued for the next 10 mins he just would not comment to it but he would put a good bend in the rod every time.

5 mins later the 6/0 screams and its fish on tail wiped the 500#. Tex leaves and Christina arrives

Yak out two more baits one with a old rotten Jack that I got from sharkfest the other a cownose well the cownose once agian hammered but somehow managed to just steal the ray off two owner jobus.
Well me and christina are sitting on the yak just talking and I see a little spash and a fin stick up out the water. Looked like a small shark at first. As he gets closer he gets shollower and more of his fins and tail come out the water Lemon fron front dorsal to tip of tail easy 4 1/2 foot which equals aroud 6-7 foot Lemon walk out to almost knee deep and he is with in 3 yards of me I toss a spanish skellaton toward him and he keep going and boiled on some mullet then turned and eat the skellaton. wish I could of got this on video. 5 mins later the 6/0 rod bends nice and slow and line peelis off the reel I let him eat the bait tighten the drag lean back and head shake fish on hand the rod to christina and she is doing everything she can to hold on let alone try to reel. she has caught a 4 footer off the skyway before but nothing like the fish she had on now. Line still rollin off the 6/0 wide its near locked down she gets him turned and he came un bottoned ok the sun is still up that 4 baits no fish to the beach yet. rebait both rods and yak them out. now the 14/0 has a good king head on it and the 6/0 with half a cownose.

Sun begines to set and the 6/0 runs for about 20 seconds i know he has it in his mouth set the hook and I cen feel the power this fish has hand the rod off and 14/0 screams crap zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz the 14/0 sings dropped and whatever was on the 6/0 came off as it ran full speed at the beach.

then the 14/0 lets out a slow painfull scream i lean the rod toward the fish tighten the drag and lean back I get yanked to the stand up postion christina grabs the belt I hand her the rod and i get belted up. grab the rod make sure the fish is still on. catch back up to it reset the hook. and she pulls more line then I get the fish to come stright in cant even tell it there. just about that time i can see the leader come out the water and the shark turns and runs down the beach I lock down on her and get her in as close as I can about 6 inches of water. hand the rod of run grab the leader and work the fish its dark with only the moon light I grab the fish tail and work her up onto the sand some touron kids and some other fisherman arrive at this time.

Lemon around 8 foot thick and healthy cut the leader pull the hook that was firm in the corner of her mouth. Get a few pictures and release the fish. She swims off strong. Happy to atleast get one out the chum hole but but the ones missed that was proboly the smallest one I felt all night.
