Hello out there. Here is a few pics of our trip to ST Joseph isl last week. The first night we fished the chanel and caught a 7' 2" bull and two 5' tips and a 4' tip. All the tips come from the spinning rods with half of a skip jack we caught fresh. The bull ate half a jack crevell on a 16/0 and never broke drag. The second night we went to the beach side and put a 5' black tip cut in half out on the big stuff. Joey stabed a nice 15lb ray and we put it out quick. It lasted about 30 min and then a fast run and nothing. It stole our ray that fast. It was wired on with a 16/0 hook. The 9/0 and joey caught another 5' tip about dark. We let 3 tips go through the trip. We came back home and put 5 baits out sat. Joey hooked up on a big fish on his 16 with a 15lb ray. It tore 100yds or so off and spit the hook. Just our luck. A couple days ago we put 5 baits out at navare and Monica hooked up on the 9/0. It almost spooled her on the first run. She fought it for an hour or so and got it to the beach only to watch it spit the hook and get away. She was pissed, and we laughed hard. She will be the first one ready next time. Since august we have put out over 65 big baits mostly rays and jacks. We caught 10 fish over 5' since. Most on the 9/0 and nothing to show off.

Very nice report Ernie thanks for sharing with us .Man you guys are hard core for sure because you stay at it through the slow season ,,,,,sounds like Monica had the fish of the fall season for everyone on this site because you know we ain't done crap for a while with the exception of the 8 sharks seaweed an them caught one week before the Halloween hammer Hunt (mostly bulls up to 7 ft)Those pics of that beach with the oaks behind the beach is something very different from what we are used to seeing .Thanks again!!By the way found the beach today to substituite Delray beach and there Fuc#4@G ban!!!!Looks very promising and not too far from Delray. Will keep you posted ,,,we're gonna hit it hard soon!!

No Joey had the fish of the month. That 150 was tight and striped over 100yds, fast with serious drag. Monicas fish was probaly tangeled in the leader and was a 7 to 8' sand bar. Joeys was a for real big fish but we will never know. Navare has the rep of those hammers that just stay there and i think that was what it was. We will be getting serious with it now cause my canoe rental is closeing for the winter and its time to fish! Every day it is right we will be there. Lets hope the bonita start running soon or i will be regreting useing all my bait up. Last night we went to stab ole rayray and no decent size ones. Winter is here and my luck is fixin to change.
