My family is over in Jensen Beach with the rest of my moms side of the family on vacation. I got on the beach Monday night and lost a hammer when he did a donut on me. On Tuesday my dad, my grandma, and I got out in the boat and headed out to 400'. After a while I got a bft on the planar. We ended up catching 3 bonita (that's all that will fit in the fridge/freezer). I got to say good job to my 75 year old grandma who caught a really big bonita almost all by herself. That bonita ended up being the biggest fish she's ever caught. Today we didn't go out in the boat so we could hang out on the beach and I got the nurse curse and ended up with a 8' exact nurse shark. Tonight I'm gonna hit the beach again and tomarrow were goin out in the boat again and try to catch some sails and dolphin.

Yeah, we have a 23' Sea Pro bay boat and my dad won't invest in outriggers or downriggers so the only thing to get a bait that we have are planars. I'm slowly workin my dad more into the offshore scenario and not as much inshore. The only good thing about our boat is we get like 4mpg or better with a 200hp yamaha.
trevor you are in prime prime location brother!!!! do not fish those beaches half heartedly, go all out for a whole night atleast, with whole bonitas and the biggest baits you can find!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wis i was there, and wow that beach looks freakin awsome!!!!!!!!!!

Update: Ended up coming back from offshore to find some guys in my spot I was shark fishin and went over to them and it ended up being a couple of guys from Team Oldskool and the same spot they landed a big hammer a while ago. We all soaked big baits for a long time with not much going on. Team Oldskool got a few 3' sharks and a 7-8' nurse and nothin was even picking up the bait and doin a short run over where I had to move. I guess the big sharks just weren't there. I know I'm gonna be back there soon though.
