JD (the legend) and Aaron catch an 8 ft sand tiger

The legend is at it again, while we're home having dinner Jd and Aaron are out on Sebastian Inlet fishing for sharks.First they hit the west coast ,then they drive over to the east coast and catch a scraggle tooth.Damm!!! They report a fat sand tiger Aaron just caught on the outgoing tide.The first sand tiger in a long,long time ,,,,,,,,,,I said it, 2009 is gonna be a year to remember fellas!!!Pictures late tommorow night.

That's awesome. Can't wait to see the pics. I'm sure all these blasting cold fronts have something to do with this. I don't remember the last time we had so many cold fronts dropping the temps into the low 40's like this year. Awesome.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I got a big sand tiger also in that area last month, they seem pretty rare that far south from what I have read

Nice sand tiger Tunastick!!!Were you close to Sebastian or further north?I think the unusually cold winter we've had is pushing down the sandies.Thanks for sharing that with us.

I also think the very cold water might have pushed that fish down here?

I found reports online from lb sharkers in georgia who would get several of those a night off the beach. this freezing florida winter maybe caused some to head further south?
