Met up with JD, Hammer, and Mark for my last trip before heading back to the West Coast for school. We fished for most of the day. Mark got a fresh cuda earlier in the day. The seas died down a bit and JD got the baits out and the wait started. It was a couple hours and then the jack schools came through. We got 3 nice baits for a future trip. I hadn't eaten all day and decided to sleep to forget about that. The second I laid down, my rod with the cownose JD gave me started off. Let her eat and set the circle. Thought I may have missed when it caught and Mark had to stop me from eating s%^t. Came in pretty easy until the surf when we saw a big bull dorsal. Mark took some nice pics with the double ninja cameras. Taped out at 8'5". JD got through the cable and pulled the hook through and got her back in the water to swim another day.

It was a good start to the year, had fun flying across rocks defying death for big jacks and stopping you from flying into the surf
