Spent the weekend on the gulf coast, hammered the fish, Red Snappers, Vermillion, Groupers, AJ's, Lemon Fish (Cobia). Caught several nice red snappers one that was 1.5 lbs off the state record. Will post more pics later

The biggest one went 36.5 lbs ate a live hardtail (blue runner) 250 ft over a wreck the other was 30 lbs, caught a couple that went over 20 and a bunch in the 10-15 lb range.

If you haven't fished out of Mississippi Lousiana or Alabama, you need to, it is awesome the oil rigs offer tons of structure and are loaded with fish. Every one we stopped at had Aj's or cobia, snapper, we bailed the vermillion all in the 3-5 lbs range. Heck we even caught a trout out in 200 ft off water

Was a great trip........this is our 2nd year going down there. They get some monster tigers closer to shore. We were 84 miles and 60 miles from shore. Cannot wait to go back down.......

On a side note, the catfish up here get a guy out of shape.........The big bull I released really let me know I am out of shape on the big fish.......How does the country song go " I aint as good as I once was!"
