Indian Rocks Sandbar

We rolled out there a little after sundown. Met up with Steve who was really just sitting there waiting lol. I paddled out our three big mullet. The first rod to be hit was Melissa's Trinadad. She gets a screaming run and meets a crab trap. Bummed, we all sit back down. Then my 12/0 starts a slow run toward Mexico. So I stick it and take my seat  Then Steve decides I needed help  I decided it was his turn, this would be his first shark so i told him to take it. Not bad for Crab traps everywhere! Not bad for Steve's first. :D

LOL, Thanks. Damn thing doesnt feel small, I think the rod is better suited for a 14/0 or 16/0, its VERY heavy  A bit Heavy for me. I usually prefer my International 30TW but all the traps forced out the big guns  200lb Toughline works wonders! :D

You gotta move those crab traps out of your way one day and keep hitting that beach, a think a big shark is due for that area. That sandbar looked big... and is your leader straight weedwhacker or is that coated steel?

Just an average fisherman.

Leader is 6 foot of 400lb single strand wire wrapped in red electrical tape, and ten ft of weed eater cable.

Went again tnight. The weather report lied. had a steady crosswind that blew my canoe all over the place made it hard on me just to get a bait out. And when I did my 4.5oz spider wouldnt stay put :( so I added a 6oz pyramid and still had a huge bow in the line. Was rough, kept taking waves over the bow on the way out and getting sideswiped and almost rolling on the way in. was a total bust. But.... As we all know, it happens.
