Incredible start unbelievable ending
What's up fellow anglers! I would like to share my weekend catches. It all started early Friday around 4 am. I went to pick up clack clack clack and headed to the Everglades. We arrived around 6 am and began unloading the truck. Once all was together we headed towards our destination spots. We began by jigging the mangroves for reds and trouts. We switched to other spots for snooks. We were catching cudas left and right. Which was fine no complaints. I hooked a nice jack crevalles out of no where so we decided to go after them. In the process of doing that we had a problem, our propeller fell off!!! The worst of the worst just happened. But Ray and I are warriors, we didn't care we continued fishing with paddles. I hooked on to a 7'6" lemon. That beast dragged us like crazy. Mind you, we're on paddles, no engine power just pure muscles. I fought him for nearly 45 mins with a jigmaster 500. After a war I brought him to the boat and measured. 7'6". We released him unharmed. We continued to fish & we landed 75 lbs of jack crevalles and more sharks (black tips, spinners). After 18 hrs of successful fishing we headed back to land. Encountering sharks on the way back some of which hitting the canoe. We saw a crocodile as well. We thought it was a great day. On the way back, once we got reception on our phone we noticed that our families and friends were all looking for us, thinking we had died or gotten lost or eaten by crocodiles. The coast guard was also looking for us. Our world was on a stand still all this time while we were fishing. We had to call everybody and tell them we were ok. Shows all the love they have for us. Next time we're taking a better phone. Other than that like I said it was a great successful day. Hope y'all enjoyed the story now for the pictures!!!
