Halloween Sebastian/Ft Pierce Monster Quest (long post)
It all started with JD pickin me up on Friday night to go to his house, there I did some homework and set up the rods for later. Saturday afternoon, we left Miami, but were hesitant on traveling North or South, we decided on North.
First checking out the North Bridge in Ft. Pierce-instantly caught ladyfish, put them out on 4 rods, didn't even get a nibble.
we packed up and went off to Sebastian inlet, we slept through the night and went to the North jetty, once we were out there, we realized we had made a mistake as we watched the mullet being mauled down by tarpon and spinner sharks on the south jetty. A cold front swept through, and with the high pressure the fish were gone.
So we packed up and explored for hours, we found a mudhole bay in the Melbourne area, loaded all along the way with piers, but still not a fish in sight besides mullet.
Later, we head back to Sebastian, JD caught a monstrous redfish (biggest all day) I had a 30lb red straight up and down (first ever), lost during netting, then later had a 25-20lber/keeper size, another net failure.
We went back to north bridge, caught a few nice trout, ladyfish, and snook, put out some ladyfish and trout and my rod was the only rod to get hit. Landed about a 6ft bull shark; first on the new set-up.-The Maddawg Special

JD didn't think we had enough rods (11)

Whoa! what's that?

Is it some type of drum?

Hammer the fishin machine, looks like fun fishin with yall. Too bad ya couldnt put that big red on alive and free line it a while. It realy sucks trying to keep a bait stock up and having to let perfectly good bait go. The other day i must have caught 20 AJ's between 27 and 29 inches. the limit here is 1 per person over 30 in. Wound up geting my limit after they destroyed the live well full of bait. All that good bait to let go. Cool looking 12/0 and nice bull.
