I was in Boston visiting family last week and MrAnsel sent me text after text asking to fish once I got back. So we did it. This past Tuesday, May 7 we hit up Sebastian and snagged this little gem on a whole mullet. Gentle fight the whole way in, never really stripped any line off the reel.
I'm about to mail in the tagging card, but I'm not 100% on what species it is. She taped out at 4 foot 6 inches and was so pregnant, her belly was squirming like crazy. My 1st guess is reef shark, but they grow to be 9 feet. I don't think that a reef shark half that size is mature enough to reproduce, but I could be wrong. My second guess is finetooth shark. They top out at 5 or 6 feet and have small symmetrical teeth

you really shouldn't tag an unidentifiable shark. one of the key points is ID. 
But, Congrats one your catch! was it on a surf rod?
