Full Moon Sandbar
Sorry for the late post ya'll; I was hoping to add some more fish to it last night but nothing happened. I called up my buddies and told em we needed to go out wednesday night for the full moon. I got out of class at 8pm, picked up my buddies, and we started the 2 1/2 hour trek to the beach. We got 4 baits out around 11pm with fresh rays on each. The night wasn't as productive as they've been in previous weeks, I shark fish 2-3 nights a week and sometimes you get them, sometimes you don't. At 2am I was walking by nicks 50w international II that he bought after catching his first shark the other week and the line was slack. I asked him if it had been hit and he said no. I figured something had hit it, cut off the rock, and he didn't here it with its pitiful clicker (gotta love my big senators). I started cranking and after about 30yds the rod doubled over and I knew it was a shark. I kept cranking until nick got there to do the running man and 15 mins. later we had a fat 7' sandbar on the beach and nicks 2nd shark from the beach. The thing had a 3'7" girth and was very pregnant. She was released and swam away strong (hopefully I catch her babies in 10 years). I tried to get a video of it all but I there wasn't enough light to see anything.
