Fort Pierce Goliath!
Went out Last night, 04/08/13 in sight of hooking some bulls with a cooler full of Lady fish and jacks. Tide was ripping out, wind was cranking out of the SE. There was no life, no baits, no lady fishing in their normal spots. I set out my 80w about 200 yards out. I walked away and did my thing targeting snook. I couldn't even get them to bite :/ .. I Was about 50 yards away and heard my reel slowly going off. I knew right away what was on the other side. After setting the hook about 10 times
The fight was on! After a 20 minute battle and 30 minutes of walking him down to the bottom of that catwalk he was landed, de hooked and revived. Swam off like a bat out of hell and almost took me with him!
All in all the fish was over 6' I didnt have a chance to measure him, you can see the girth on his head and his body in the pics. He was easily a 250 lb fish. I haven't seen a belly like that on a fish in a while!

That's a hefty bridge Jewfish ,congratulations on the catch .Thanks for posting the pics and video.

Thanks everyone. I'd like to say the lack of postings are due to being swamped with work. How ever that's not the case. I Guess i've been a bit lazy and all this fishing has been draining me. I've been getting my fair share of fish. Weather it be, sharks, snook,trout,reds,tarpon...
I doubt anyone will believe me, how ever the month of december I jumped 67 tarpon, landed about 15 and had rock side another dozen.
Still itching for that big beach shark. Always next week ![]()
