Fort myers Mini report

Got to the pier at 4:30 pm friday before i got to the end of the pier i snagged two rays they got put out out as soon as i got to the t one on my 4/0 and one on my 50 w tiagra they sat THE WHOLE NIGHT WITHOUT A RUN n the morning i caught some nice trout on gotcha plugs. Cut one in half an put half on my 50w and half on my ambasseder 3000 as soon as i sat down my abu got a very slow hit so i stick it an it takes of and its burning line like nothing with deadlock drag im thinking its nice bull so i finnally get it turned and fight it for like an hour and i finnaly get a glimpse and I see at least a 250 lb mudd ray.So im really dissiponited that its not a shark so i work it to the shallows an about 15 yards from the beach he takes one last run under the pier an bust my 40 lb powerpro.I make my way back to the t with my arms feeling like jello re rig an flip another trout out there and both trout sit for at least 4 hours before I get another hit and of corse its on my tiny abu once again but this time i set up and it rips deadlock 200 yards out and bust me off on a crab pot so now Im down set up again and i hook a nice spinner get him to the pier and im surrounded by tourist try to get a rope around him but i have no room to work and he throws the hooks but i got a pic I guess he is at least 80 went home after a nap im back out at 6 and i put a tarpon rig on my stradic 8000 and flip a huge grass grunt out it sits for like 10 mins it gets picked up i set the hook and on the first run he almost spools me finnaly get to surface 20 yards out and i see a HUGE cobia i work him down towards the beach and he takes a run that i couldent stop and he wraps me on a swim bouy and i say good bye i head home after that very sadd. I have a video of the ray smoking me and some pics of the rod bowed to the grips ands i have a decent pic of the spinner but all in all it was a nice trip and was some funn times with my friends! Once I find out how to post the pictures off my iphone i will!
