First Hammer

Hey guys,
Went out with my cousins this weekend and put out a bonita chunk and as soon as I got back in, the 9/0 went off. Let it run for about 30 seconds and tightened the drag, then the fish took off. Took about 300 yards steady and then turned around. Got it within 50 feet of the beach and it started pulling line heading north parallel to the beach. We chased it for half a mile before we saw the dorsal fin and knew it was a hammer. It was our first hammer and we were all screaming. We got him on the beach, snapped a couple pictures, got the hook out, and watched him swim away. Incredible experience.

It's just our second shark. I guess we got lucky.
How do you tell the difference between the species of hammerhead (scalloped and great) and which do I have here?

i think a scalped hammer is more round and a great is just straight across
